How Do I Store and Handle Blue Sky DEF?

- Optimal storage temperature: 23˚F to 77˚F
- Avoid direct exposure to sunlight
- Please take note of applications and materials compatibility! Please see “Product Specification” and “Exposure to DEF” data sheets! DEF is mildly hazardous to water.
- ISO22241 standards require the use of stainless steel and/or certain plastics, e.g. high density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene, that come in contact with DEF in order to prevent SCR failure.
- Materials specifically not recommended include non-ferrous metals and alloys (copper, aluminum, magnesium, silver, zinc and lead), solders containing non-ferrous metals, and nickelcoated plastics and metals.
- NEVER MIX WITH DIESEL FUEL.
